New technology for older users
TO most people Twitter is a nifty electronic communication medium, but to the non tech savvy particularly more senior generations it is simply something birds do.
Warrnambool’s branch of the Association of Independent Retirees (AIR) is keen to bridge the information gap by hosting an information session tomorrow morning to demystify social media.

“Others would love to be able to send and receive emails but have no idea where to start.
“The idea of being able to talk to and see their grandchildren using Skype when they are many kilometres away is mind boggling to many.”
The group’s meeting cheap jerseys in the Uniting Church hall tomorrow at 10am will feature Harvey Norman electronics representative Adam Patuwairua.
Mr Patuwairua will show how people without a computer can learn to use a relatively cheap system to send and receive emails and use Skype to have video conversations with other computer users.
